Yael Farber's visceral revival of Arthur Miller's classic American drama THE CRUCIBLE, produced by the Old Vic, swept the boards with 10 Five Star reviews from the National Press, playing a 3 month sell out season from June - September 2014. Starring Richard Armitage as John Proctor, the production received two Olivier Award nominations, including Best Revival and Best Actor; an Evening Standard Award Nomination for Best Director and won Five Broadway World Awards including one for Best Direction. Farber’s THE CRUCIBLE is amongst the most successful productions ever to play at The Old Vic in its illustrious history. Following the production’s sell-out success The Old Vic and Digital Theatre released a filmed version of the production in 20 countries worldwide and been seen by over 50,000 people in the cinema and online.
